Hi, I’m Rowena, an illustrator and muralist based in Bournemouth, England.

Much of my work is inspired by nature (with a large side order of books and cosy cafes), and the slow moments we can find that help us to rest and reset. I love to tell stories through my work, and particularly enjoy bringing in the small details that bring an extra layer to the narrative, creating worlds that the viewer can step inside and find a moment of escapism from the pressures of reality.

I work across a variety of mediums, with a particular interest in 2D illustration, animated illustration, and mural painting.

When I’m not drawing, I love to read, explore new places, and to tend for the plants in my workspace (with varying degrees of success…) I also love to run, enjoy far too much coffee and tea (Yorkshire, obviously) and spend my Saturday afternoons supporting the mighty Cherries.
